What kind of soap do you recommend? You are clear about what NOT to use, but not what can be used. I can\'t tell if my regular detergent is safe & it doesn\'t list ingredients. Are regular wash detergents okay? I used Arm and Hammer. Is that alright? Thanks!

We recommend a mild detergent without any alternative whiteners. Never use bleach or any other oxidizing detergent which can destroy the conductive material. Hope this helps!

I\'m going camping and am wondering if I can use the cord to ground directly into the ground? Will this work?

While you could technically set up your sheet this way, the ground prong at the end of the cord will likely not have enough surface area contact with the Earth to provide adequate conductivity. This can be checked by testing your body voltage with a multimeter, however, we suggest looking into purchasing a ground rod if you intend to ground this way. You can also try to spend some time barefoot being in direct contact with a natural surface so your body receives the healing energy of the Earth.

What is the recommended using time?

There is no time limit. When we are connected to the Earth the amount of the electrons we absorb is governed by the amount our body needs to balance the electrical charge of our body. So it is always the perfect amount.

Studies suggest that staying connected with earth grounding helps improve sleep, reduce inflammation, accelerate wound healing, detoxify body, reduce stress, increase energy, improve circulation, and reduce muscle tensions. Some may notice benefits immediately, others after some time, and others may not notice even though their body is experiencing the benefits, but you can use grounding products as much as possible to give your body this healing energy and keep it on a healthy level.

Does it have any side effects?

The electrons from the Earth that we receive through grounding products shouldn't generate any side effects. The main purpose of those products is to transmit the Earth’s natural and healing energy.

However, if you feel any discomfort the first time using the straps or the grounding sheet, we suggest to go slow and at your own pace, use only for a couple of minutes a day, and very slowly increase your exposure until you feel comfortable to even sleep grounded or spend many hours using the straps.

Can I use this product if I have a pacemaker or defibrillator?

There is no evidence that this interferes with the function of these devices, specially because our grounding products do not run on electricity. They simply transfer the Earth’s energy through the ground port of a properly grounded outlet.

However, if you still want to be 100% sure, we recommend to primarily consult a licensed, qualified healthcare professional.

Are the edges sewn, and how do you recommend attaching the grounding product to the sheet underneath?

The edges are nicely sewn (e.g. no loose threads). I use the sheet by tucking it under the mattress on top of the fitted sheet and this works great. You want to maintain skin contact with the silver conductive threads in the sheet.

What percentage of sheet is silver?

The silver percentage is 5%. We recommend so that the sheet maintains the maximum conductivity that you keep bare skin against the sheet.

How can I test the sheet for conductivity?

Here are the steps. Also, it's important to use a ground checker to check that the outlet ground is grounded first. Once done, you can use a multimeter to do the following steps:

1. Put on rubber soled shoes.
2. Connect the grounding cord to the confirmed ground of the outlet and to the sheet (clip it in).
3. Connect the black lead of multimeter to the ground and to the COM port of multimeter
4. Set dial to AC volts and as many decimal points as it can go.
5. The red lead you'll hold on to and should see the reading increase. You can touch your phone or a computer and see it likely increase even more.
6. Now with your palms, put them on the conductive silver of the grounding mat. You should see the reading drop.

What is the size of the snap connector?

The snap connector's diameter measures 4.0mm.

Can I use a regular sheet over it?

The reason why a regular sheet should not go over it is so that your skin is in contact with the silver threads and you gain the grounding benefit.

How long are the grounding cords?

The cords are 4.5 meters or 14.7 feet long. You can also extend the range by using a 3 prong (grounded) extension cord.

Is it really made from Certified Organic Cotton?

Yes, it is organic certified cotton. The agency certifying the woven cotton is Control Union Certifications B.V. Meeuwenlaan 4-6, 8011 BZ, Zwolle, Netherlands in accordance with the Global Organic Textile (GOTS) 5.0 Standard.

How is the washing process?

We recommend you wash your sheet weekly, or an absolute minimum, twice per month with warm water and an eco (essential oil free) liquid detergent. Washing in warm water strips off any body 
sweat, natural oils, wastes and a variety of organic compounds excreted through your skin that can build up and create a film on the silver thread that impairs conductivity. Earthing sheets can be washed in a washing machine with regular liquid detergent as long as the detergent doesn't contain chlorine or other chemical bleaches, including oxy-bleaches or oxy-whiteners. 

Note - Never use bleach! Bleach instantly destroys the conductivity of the silver thread. Do not use chlorine, oxy or any other bleach, whiteners, fabric softeners or conditioners as these will corrode the silver thread and compromise conductivity. If you want to, it's fine to rinse with vinegar. If you need to remove a stain we suggest you spot treat it with hydrogen peroxide. Simply apply the hydrogen peroxide to the spot by pouring or spraying it on. Allow it to soak in, dab with a clean towel and wash afterwards.
